Information we collect

When you request a quote, we receive the details you enter: company, country, name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number if supplied, product, variety, grade, size, quantity, destination and message. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the contact details and message you choose to send.

Our hosting provider may also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser details and access time.

Why we use it

We use your information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, discuss supply and export arrangements, and manage any resulting commercial relationship. We also use necessary technical information to operate and protect the website and keep records where the law requires.

These uses are based, as applicable, on steps you ask us to take before a contract, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running the website, and our legal obligations. We do not use a quote request to add you to a marketing mailing list.

Who may receive it

Access is limited to the Madagascar Flavors team handling your request and service providers needed to operate the website and email. The website is hosted by OVH SAS in France. Contact Form 7 processes quote submissions, and Flamingo stores a copy in the website’s WordPress database so we can follow up. If your enquiry concerns an EU order, relevant details may be shared with Vanilae, our sister company in France, which handles EU orders.

Information may therefore be accessed in Madagascar and France. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, that service also processes your communication under its own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to answer your request and manage any resulting business relationship. We review and remove information when it is no longer needed. Transaction and accounting records may be kept longer where required by applicable law.

Cookies and similar technologies

The public pages do not currently include advertising or audience-measurement scripts. WordPress may use essential cookies for administrator login and site operation. If we add optional analytics or other non-essential tracking, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, or object to certain uses of it. To make a request, email contact@madagascar-flavors.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain information where the law requires.
